As one of the only filmmakers in Haiti before, during, and after the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the Discover the Journey team was in a unique position to tell an amazing story through their film. With support from Soledad O’Brien, Wyclef Jean, and the CNN production crew, a one-hour documentary was aired on CNN on May 9th 2010.
As part of a grassroots effort by the Discover the Journey team, we were able to help their movement by architecting, designing, and implementing an iPhone application focused on giving people another way to interact, to learn more about, and to give to the campaign.
We were able to integrate their stunning photography into a custom designed user interface, as well as incorporate some powerful tools including an online (and now mobile) giving platform, an integrated Flickr photo feed, and an integrated video feed using Discover the Journey’s Vimeo channel.
